About Doug Wojcik Media
For more than 36 years I was a staff photographer at the Stevens Point Journal, serving central Wisconsin. I have covered all types of assignments, from news, features, documentary, sports at all levels, advertising, portrait, environment, entertainment and street life, with the goal of making images that tell the story, evoke a smile or bring a tear to the eyes of the readers.
Within this time I have developed my skills in still photography, video, audio, multimedia work and live streaming.
My experience in making that story-telling photo, my attention to detail, my ability to see beyond the obvious and my passion and high ethical standards sets me apart from the casual person with a camera.
I have been on assignment for the Associated Press, Milwaukee Journal, Chicago Tribune, MailOnline, City of Stevens Point, Washington Post, USA Today, Jacksonville Jaguars, Spring Fit and several other publications and businesses.
I have served as a regional officer on the National Press Photographer Association Board of Directors and as its national secretary. A member of the Wisconsin News Photographers Association, where I served as its president and chaired various committees. I currently sit on the board of the Wisconsin Freedom of Information Council.
